Abstract Submission

The Scientific Committee invites authors to submit abstracts in the area of haematology to be considered for inclusion as poster presentations in the Scientific Programme. Abstracts can be submitted via email to sfadilah@mail.hukm.ukm.my or jvsangkar@yahoo.com before 1 March 2008. Abstracts should be typed in Microsoft Word document according to the template provided.

Instructions

The abstract should be submitted in English

Provide name and complete address including correct email address of the first author, to whom correspondence will be sent.

Abstract title: please use capital letters only. The title (including spaces) should not exceed 200 characters. Do NOT type a full stop (.) at the end of the title.

Text of the abstract: No more than 500 words. Use Times New Roman font, size 10 throughout.

Please adopt the following structured format:

a. Background

b. Materials and Methods

c. Results

d. Summary/ conclusions

Graphics, figures and pictures are not allowed.

The first author of all accepted abstracts will be notified by email together with the date of the poster session and guidelines for their presentation.

Guidelines for poster presentations

1. The space allocated for the poster presentation is 1m (w) by 1.5m (h). Authors shall ensure that their presentation stays within the allocated space.

2. Authors can have their entire presentation on one large piece or on several smaller pieces. Please ensure that posters are mounted in the correct space provided, which should correspond to the poster number provided.

3. Each poster shall have the title prominently displayed on the top with author names below as presented in the abstract

4. Authors shall mount their posters between 11.45 am to 1.45 pm, 10 April 2008. Double sided tape will be made available for mounting the posters.

5. Posters must be taken down by the end of the meeting. Posters which remain after the conclusion of the meeting, will be removed by the organisers. The organisers do not take responsibility for any damaged or missing posters.
