Message from the President, Asean Federation of Haematology and Malaysian Society of Haematology
On behalf of the Malaysian Society of Haematology (MSH) and Asean Federation of Haematology (AFH), I would like to welcome delegates to participate in the inaugural AFH/MSH Scientific meeting to be held at Shangri-La Hotel, Kuala Lumpur from 22-24th April 2010. Malaysia is honoured to be the host. It is my fervent wish that this meeting will bring together doctors, scientists and para medical staff involved in the delivery of haematology care in the Asean countries to share our experiences and foster our friendship and co-operation. Haematology is a vibrant discipline and many advances have been made in recent years both in the basic sciences and patient care. How best to manage our patients with finite resources is a perennial challenge. The scientific chairman for this meeting Dr Alan Teh has crafted a comprehensive program and the theme of the meeting is Advancing Asean Haematology. We are privileged to have a good number of foreign speakers to add spices to the scientific program.
We hope you join us for the meeting. For our foreign guests, I hope you
could take some time to take glimpses of Malaysia –the melting pot
of Asian cultures. Enjoy the good food, fabulous shopping and the company
of culturally diverse people in the capital city of Kuala Lumpur
Thank you and see you soon.
